Every year the club runs an event aimed at children between the ages of 5 and 15 called ‘Start Early Fish for Life’
These events are for children to come along and try something new for the first time or for children already fishing to brush up on some skills.
All fishing tackle and bait is provided by the club, and bailiffs and members will be on hand to help show the kids what to do and how to fish, hopeful of catching a fish or two. With a bit of luck the kids will not only catch fish but also the fishing bug, which will have them hooked for life.
The dates of the events are usually decided in late spring, in readiness for the up-coming summer. Dates will be published across our media sites.
The events book up quickly and are on a first come first serve basis, only the kids taking part require a ticket, we do ask that parents/guardians stay with their children where possible.
Due to the sheer number of no-shows at previous events we have decided that a deposit will be required for each ticket. The deposit less the small booking fee will be refunded when participating children turn up. No-shows or cancellations will not be refunded. Further details are on the booking page.
